Join me on exclusive small-group and tailor-made journeys through Italy’s artistic and musical treasures.
These are not standard tours, but curated programs where art, architecture, opera, and cuisine come together in an authentic and personal way.
As an expert in Italian culture and opera, I design and lead journeys that reveal the stories behind the beauty — from world-famous masterpieces to hidden gems known only to locals.
For you, your friends, or family, I create bespoke programs that reflect your particular interests and passions.
Whether your focus is Renaissance art, Palladian architecture, Verdi’s operas, or the pleasures of Italian gastronomy, I craft each itinerary with precision and care — for you.
You are also welcome to join one of my scheduled small-group tours: 4- to 6-day cultural experiences for 5 to 15 participants, built around a special opera performance, festival, or exhibition.

The name Cicerone has deep roots in travel history.
In the 18th and 19th centuries, a Cicerone was an erudite and sophisticated guide who led cultured travelers from Northern Europe through Italy on their Grand Tour, unveiling its art, history, and beauty.
In that same spirit, I accompany my guests today — as a storyteller, guide, and connoisseur of culture.
My aim is to reveal an Italy beyond the well-trodden paths taken by most tourists: an Italy rich in art, stories, music, and gastronomy.
Each journey is thoughtfully curated for small groups. Every detail — from the best opera seats and private villa lunches to guided art walks and behind-the-scenes visits — is carefully selected to create an atmosphere of depth, comfort, and style.
These are journeys for travelers who seek beauty with meaning, and who wish to experience Italy in its most authentic and refined form.
Bergamo – Donizetti Festival
Centered on the city’s renowned opera festival, with performances in its two historic theaters.
We stayed in a charming family-run hotel in the Città Alta, explored the Accademia Carrara and Palazzo Moroni, and savored Bergamo’s culinary highlights.
My introductions before each performance provided the cultural and musical context that deepened our appreciation.
Parma – Verdi’s World
Guests experienced Verdi’s operas at the Teatro Regio and enjoyed a private reception with the Club dei 27 — an exclusive society of Verdi enthusiasts.
We also explored the Teatro Farnese and admired Correggio’s paintings in the Cathedral and the Camera di San Paolo.
Venice & Vicenza – In the Footsteps of the Grand Tour
We followed the trail of 18th-century travelers: discovering Palladio’s genius in Vicenza and attending a performance at Venice’s historic Teatro La Fenice.
Our days combined famous landmarks with little-known churches, palaces, and intimate culinary moments.
Rome & the Villas of Lazio
A five-day private journey for a group of friends, exploring Renaissance villas and gardens near Rome — complete with a private lunch hosted by a prince.
Below are ideas for destinations that can be experienced individually or combined into multi-day cultural programs:
Modena – Home to a splendid cathedral, the Galleria Estense, and a proud culinary tradition. Combine with the Palazzo Ducale in Sassuolo, one of northern Italy’s finest Baroque palaces.
Bologna – A vibrant university city with Giambologna’s Neptune Fountain, lively markets, and remarkable art collections.
Mantua / Cremona / Sabbioneta – Explore Renaissance palaces, Mozart’s historic stage at Teatro Bibiena, the Museo del Violino, and the intimate theatres and galleries of Sabbioneta.
Como & Lake Como – The cathedral, charming old town, scenic villas, and gardens of Carlotta and Balbianello — or a seaplane flight over the lake for a breathtaking perspective.
Bassano del Grappa & Treviso Region – Visit Palladio’s bridge, Canova’s museum in Possagno, and Palladian villas among the Prosecco hills.
End the day with a spritz in Asolo, one of Italy’s most beautiful hill towns.
And beyond: Verona, Brescia, Bergamo, Turin, Milan — each offering endless artistic and musical inspiration.
