Pair of drawings made at the Ecole Polytechnique in Paris in 1828 depicting the famous Eddystone lighthouse. Signed Malinvaud and stamp of the Ecole Polytechnique.

Jean-Firmin Malinvaud (1807-1837) entered the Ecole Polytechnique in 1826. Later he became professor of Metallurgy at the School of Saint-Etienne. In July 1836 he visited the mine shaft in Épinac were he was injured in an accident; he died a few months later, 29 years old.
